At CES this year, Intel officially announced a wide range of Alder Lake processors , including H-Series chips aimed at notebook performance, which traditionally fit in the 45-watt range. Over the last few generations of processors, Intel started out with low-power laptop parts and then expanded its range to desktop processors; but for Alder Lake, they turned that on its head. Instead, Intel introduced desktop processors first, such as the Core i9-12900K , and then moved down the range, with performance laptop processors second and low-power processors coming later.
